Skydiving TOC staffers Erin Delahanty and Mark Bieganski (pictured) took the plunge together, jumping from a plane at 14,000 feet. After watching the videos of their jumps, Bieganski and Delahanty recount the experience-with a focus on bodily fluids.
Delahanty I can't stop thinking about that look on your face right before I jumped. I've never seen you so scared.
Bieganski I had to look away-pretty sure if I watched you throw yourself out of a plane I would have cried like a baby.
D When I was dangling off the side of the plane I was convinced I was going to throw up.
B Pretty sure I peed myself a little.
D I thought that might happen. You went to the bathroom at least four times before we jumped.
B I probably spent more time in there than the six minutes we were in the air.
D We were up there that long? It felt so much shorter when we were falling.
B It did happen fast-so fast I didn't have time to find the ripcord when it came time to pull it.
D Oh, really? All I could think about was pulling that damn cord. My mind kept racing, Am I doing this right? Am I doing this right? I was so paranoid, I think I pulled the chute too early.
B I felt like it was smooth sailing once the instructor pulled the cord for me-though I still prayed to God I didn't shit myself the rest of the way down.
D Well, luckily you didn't. And I didn't vomit. I did manage to make some ridiculous faces for the camera, though.
B And you also tried to sneak in some rad midair dance moves.
D Seriously, what was that even about?
B You were trying to pull a Beyoncé at14,000 feet?
D Oh, God, what if I would have died asingle lady?
