Operation: Pink Sky

WTVO's Ben Hutchison goes skydiving with CSC to raise money for breast cancer research.

This weekend the sky in Rochelle will be painted pink with skydivers raising money for breast cancer research. Audra Mets is visiting from Glorida. Her mom is a breast cancer survivor.
"She was done with treatment in October so really the best circumstance possible."
Mets knows her mom is proud.
"In participating its a good thing and a cause she has a personal experience with."
Penny Carter is jumping for her mother, who survived breast cancer more than 2 decades ago.
"She's 86 year's old. So this is for her but she's a worrier so I'm not telling her anything until afterwards and tell her how much fun it was."
Joining penny is her daughter Theresa.
"She's my best friend one of the most loving people you'll ever meet and she won't grow up.
"I'm adventurous, I'm the one that likes to drive fast, I'm the one that likes sports cars. I've wanted to do it a long time but my mom has really wanted to do it."
"It's been on my bucket list forever. One of these things I've always wanted to do so it was very nice of my daughter to invite me to come along."
CSC President Douglas Smith is confident the weekend will be a success.
"Getting people out here that have no interest in skydiving, will probably have a different mindset when they leave."
"I'm fully prepared for someone to push me out the door and I'll enjoy the ride. I'll probably be laughing the entire way down. When I'm on a roller coaster that's what i do, laugh the entire time. I know i'm going to be pretty terrified for that first free fall but then when we glide down for that next 5 minutes it will be amazing."
