It's hard to believe there are just 6 weeks left in the season considering we are still so busy here. We had the air-conditioning on in the north hangar over the weekend! Things have changed quite a bit this week with some cool temperatures, winds, and clouds, but the forecast looks like it's going to be a great October weekend in the mid-60s. Come out and enjoy the final weekend with the Super Otter before she heads off to Skydive Cuautla/Puerto Escondido, Mexico.
We jumped another 183 students over the past week and the reservations for this weekend still look strong.
Speaking of Mexico - have you booked your airfare for the New Years Boogie yet? Get on it! Also, we will need to know room details soon so we can block enough rooms at the hotel.
We've updated the CSCreensaver. Download the latest version here.
Rich Madsen is organizing 8-way again this Saturday. If you're interested in joining in on the fun, please contact Rich.
The Super Otter is down all week for routine maintenance. Dan is working hard to get her ready for a long road trip.
Last update, we mentioned our Performance Designs Demo Center and we received a ton of feedback and quite a few people are interested in purchasing demo canopies. Below is a list of the canopies we still have available for sale:
CSC Rhythm's 2007 USPA Nationals Jumps
With the heat last weekend, the Chili Cook-Off didn't have many entries, but everyone still enjoyed the different styles and flavors. Special thanks to those who participated. Don't forget that Eric is cooking this weekend for the Fry Fest. Deep fried turkeys along with plenty of other great food! $10 all-you-can-eat.
Jason is taking the PAC over to Des Moines, IA this weekend which means the Super Otter will be flying at CSC Friday thru Sunday. Come out and fly with our Mexico pilot who is taking care of our Otter this winter. Tristan "Kro" Cox comes to us with substantial Twin Otter experience. He has been flying refuge missions in Twin Otters for the past year in Africa. Prior to that, Kro was the Chief Pilot at Skydive Cross Keys, in Williamstown, NJ. He will be flying all weekend at CSC and then heading south early next week to start his 7 month Mexico contract with Sky Team Aviation.

As for pilots here at CSC, there have been some changes. Most of you have grown comfortable with Jeff at the controls over the past 3 seasons, but he has decided to leave us for some new opportunities. Below is a letter that he's asked us to pass on to you:
As many of you regulars know, I recently completed training in the Lear 35 and have been flying King Air 200s out of Aurora for the past several months. This new adventure, my family, and my full-time job have all kept me very busy recently. With the Otter leaving next week and Doug having two additional pilots for the PAC750, I felt this was a good time to move on to bigger and faster birds. I will truly miss flying you all and wish everyone the best over the winter months. Blue Skies... Jeff Little |
