Things have been very busy over the past couple of weeks here at CSC. Most likely due to the poor weather in August, we are seeing record numbers in September. We dropped over 250 students last week alone!
I've been gone quite a bit over the past week flying at USPA Nationals in Ottawa. Special thanks to everyone on the CSC team for stepping up and running things as smoothly as always! It was great seeing old friends and meeting new ones at Nationals. Skydive Chicago hosted a great event and I was very proud to be a part of it.
Speaking of Nationals, we are extremely proud of the teams we sponsored this season. Congratulations to everyone who trained here at CSC and competed. Training is a difficult, time consuming, and expensive endeavor for any team. Between personalities, personal & work schedules, and finances - teams are a tough thing to balance. Once again, congrats to everyone and we look forward to working with even more teams in 2008.

Rhythm is hosting another scrambles event this Saturday. Scrambles are designed for skydivers of all levels. We want to see recent FU graduates jumping! By all accounts, this one is going to be busy. The weather looks perfect and we have plenty going on. If you are interested in learning more about this event, please contact Steven Lefkowitz.
Don't forget that this weekend is also our $199 All-You-Can-Jump Boogie. This event is for licensed skydivers only. By the way, there is a 1 rig maximum and no pre/double manifesting.
Also this weekend, Sporto will be offering freefly load organizing and Dave Singer from Sunpath will be here promoting their latest equipment. Come on out and demo a new Javelin.
Stick around on Sunday evening and enjoy the Bears game on the big screen in the CSC Lounge.
If you're planning on joining us in Mexico over New Years, get your airfare now! Roundtrip flights from O'Hare -> Mexico City -> Puerto Escondido are currently in the $750 range and will only be going up as we get closer to the holidays. We will also need an accurate count of people so we know how many ocean view rooms to reserve! Keep an eye out for our ad in Parachutist Magazine this month. Event dates are December 26 - January 2.
Rich Madsen is organizing a couple weekends of high-level RW. Saturday, September 29 will be 8-way followed by 10+way the following Saturday during the $17 Autumn Boogie. For more information, contact Rich. Please note that these events require a 600 jump minimum. Plan on doing 7+ jumps/day.
