skydive update

We had a great time at CSC last weekend with the Super Otter running non-stop. We can't say the same for the past few days, but it's giving us time to get things ready for our biggest event of the season - the 12th Annual MS Boogie is next weekend and we have some great activities planned.

The Super Otter and PAC will be on the flight line at CSC for the event. We already have over 100 tandems scheduled for next Saturday. $25 registration gets you $19 jumps Friday - Sunday, event t-shirt, dinner, live music, and more. Don't forget about the raffle, there are great prizes including the coveted 100 jump package at CSC!

Interested in doing 2-plane shots? Eric Bickel will be organizing 32-ways during the boogie. Contact him via email at bickelator@yahoo.com

If there is anyone who would like to donate to Skydiving for MS, please contact Dave Perez via email at icyou88@sbcglobal.net. For more information on this great cause, checkout www.skydivingforMS.com. We hope to see everyone at MS12!

We have a big weekend planned this weekend too. Friday is a team training day with CSC Mayhem and PROskydiving VFS jumping non-stop. The PAC is heading to Nebraska on Friday, so we will be turning the Otter all day. Don't forget that Rich & Brian will be hosting 4-way Friday.

John and KO will be organizing this weekend if anyone wants to join them on some big-ways from the Super Otter.

CSC Mayhem will be training all weekend guaranteeing the Otter will be turning. It seems like our $18 jumps after 2:00pm every Sunday is starting to catch on. Don't forget about $15 to 15,000' every Wednesday.

We've installed brand-new oxygen systems in both the Otter and the PAC for our new 18,000' tandems. If any experienced jumpers would like to go to 18,000', jumps with O2 are just $32.

A reminder about PJ's tunnel camp in June - PJ Jackson of CSC Mayhem is hosting a tunnel camp at SkyVenture New Hampshire:

skyventure new hampshire

Who can attend?  Skydivers who want to advance their flying skills.  First timers and experienced flyers are welcome.  This camp is perfect for anyone who wants to learn how to freefly or the experienced freeflyer who has not made it to the tunnel yet.  AFF students, newly licensed skydivers, and experienced skydivers ready to sharpen their skills can benefit from focused learning in the tunnel.  Bodyflight enthusiast, lets share some time group flying or get outside of our comfort zone with some “pushing your personal limits” type flying.

Training Camp Focus: Freefly, Total Bodyflight, VFS, and FS.  Basic belly flying skills must be proven before moving onto the freefly progression.  All of the attending flyers will work 1 on 1 with a coach to maximize their learning.  A coach can be utilized for group flying as well.

Cost: $860 per hour with coaching.  Your coach will be CSC Mayhem member PJ Jackson, with assistance from SVNH staff instructors, and a guest coach for participants who wish to focus more on FS skills.

What You Get: (6) 10 minute flight sessions with inside flight chamber instruction and coaching.  Before each flight session you’ll have a pre-flight briefing.  Spacers are provided so you have time to rest between rotations and talk with your coach before you try again.  Afterwards, you’ll debrief with a DVD recording all of your flights.  This DVD is yours to bring home.  Water and some snacks will be provided during the day.

Requirements:  Positive attitude and ready to fly!  Bring your own sneakers, jumpsuit, helmet, and goggles if you like, however SkyVenture New Hampshire has all that stuff free to use.   It is recommended that each participant flies one hour total to get the most out of the camp.

Reservations and Payments: Contact PJ Jackson at freeflyorganizing@gmail.com to reserve your slot.  100% deposit required to confirm your reservation, 3 week cancellation policy.  Payments are made to PJ by check, money order, or PayPal.  Credit cards through PayPal will result in an additional fee.
