Things have been hectic around here as we are getting geared up for the biggest season we've ever had while scrambling to finish up the construction. Thanks for your patience on this project. We are about 99% complete and just in time as we are seeing surge in first-time tandem business. We needed this season to be strong and everything is pointing that way so far.
The new PAC 750XL has been a big hit! People really enjoy jumping it and you can't beat 8 - 10 minute rides to 14,500'. If you haven't jumped it yet, get out here!
Speaking of aircraft, the Super Otter will be here in less than a month! Jacko spent 3 weeks in Mexico flying and Jeff just headed down there to finish out the last 10 days. They are due back in the States next Monday, but then straight to the paint shop.
Ben Crooch has organized CSC Video Night at the Flagstone Pub in Geneva, IL on the first Tuesday of every month. If you're not busy, join us tonight - May 1. Flagstone is located at 101 West State Street - click here for a map.
It looks like the weather may be coming around for us. The forecast for the week is great. Don't forget about $15 to 15,000' every Wednesday. We have a large tandem group coming out tomorrow, so we'll be flying from noon to sunset!
Also, for those of you who rent equipment, don't forget that we offer half off gear rental every Monday - Friday (except holidays)
This weekend coming up is going to be our first big weekend of the season. We are already fully booked for tandem students this Saturday. Saturday is also the CSC Rhythm Scrambles. Scrambles are designed for skydivers of all levels. The teams of 4 will consist of people who have thousands of jumps and those who have just graduated. If you are interested in joining us for the scrambles, please contact Steven Lefkowitz.
Be sure to join us for the Friday night movie in the CSC Lounge every Friday.
Saturday is also our annual Cinco de Mayo party with $17 jumps all day long. Eric will be cooking burgers and serving up free margaritas while we show the Oscar De La Hoya vs. Floyd Mayweather fight in HD!

We are now accepting debit at Manifest, the CSC PROshop, and the Flight Deck Cafe. There is no 3% fee for using debit.
Don't forget Skydiving for MS X is coming up June 8 - 10 with $17 jumps from the Super Otter and the PAC. Fritz Pfnur will be here freefly organizing again along with DJs spinning on Friday night and Ben Crooch's Whiskey Bound on Saturday night. Performance Designs and Mirage Systems will also be on-site with demo equipment.
As we've mentioned, we did quite a bit of work around the DZ over the winter. The reactions from experienced and new jumpers have been very positive. The experienced jumpers enjoy easier, less congested manifest and the first-timers have a dedicated staff to take them through their experience from start to finish. If you haven't seen the upgrades for yourself, come out and take a look...
Don't forget that the Welcome Matt is open at their new location on the south side of Route 30 in the old Lud's building. We are now sending all of our first-time students there for discounted drinks after they jump. Special thanks to Matt, Zack, and Keith for all of their support!
