It seems like the winter drags on and on, yet every April we can't believe how fast it went by. The 2010 skydiving season is set to kick-off next weekend. We will be flying loads on Good Friday, so let's make it a great Friday! Based on our bookings, we are expecting a very busy start to our season, so we've decided to bring the Super Otter back from The Parachute Center in Lodi, CA to start things off while the PAC continues to fly at Skydive Temple in Texas. The PAC will be back at CSC on May 3 and the Otter will head off for a couple weeks of down time for some major 5-year inspection items. At that point, we'll be putting a new engine on the left side, new main landing gear, new primary control cables, and plenty more. It's not cheap to have the nicest aircraft in skydiving!

Our previous update mentioned that Safety Day was going to be hosted on Friday, April 2nd. We have decided to move it to Saturday, April 3rd. We hope to be jumping the Otter all day starting at 9:00am, so we will be doing an evening event starting at 6:00pm. Please RSVP via Facebook so we have an accurate idea of how many people will be attending. We will have dinner and drinks in the hangar with presentations by people to address topics such as aircraft safety, airport policies, landing patterns, crossing the runway, glider awareness, gear safety, and more. It's important to us that everyone joins us despite your level of experience. Some newer jumpers don't think these things apply to them yet and some highly experienced jumpers also feel that they are above these discussions. Trust me, we all need to be a part of this. We all play a role in running our safe operation.

We are running a Tax Return Special until 4/15/2010 for all experienced and FU students. Receive an additional 10% on any payments of $500 or more you put on your jump account. This does not include the purchase of any already discounted jump packages, but if you're looking to put some money on account, here's your chance to get an instant 10% return on your money. We're also having a 20% off sale on any in-stock helmets.
We are really excited about 2010. We have big plans for this season including some great boogies, events, competitions, parties, guest load organizers, and more.
Anyone out there thinking about getting instructional ratings this season? We have some courses scheduled for AFF, tandem, and USPA coach. The AFF course is being held by SkydiveRatings at CSC June 10 - 15. Be sure to reserve your slot in the course by contacting bram@skydiveratings.com. If anyone needs any help getting ready for the course, please let us know.
Since our last update, we've been busy marketing CSC. We had a great time at the Chicago Auto Show. It was a long 10 days, but extremely good for us. The level of interest was unbelievable. Special thanks to everyone who helped out with the long hours talking to potential customers non-stop. Sammy has been working hard on other creative marketing ideas to keep us growing. We really enjoy the marketing aspect of this business and are excited to see how well our efforts pay off in 2010.

We've also been marketing PROskydiving this winter. We recently launched the newest version including the embedded reservation system. We migrated our older system, dropzoneCRS, into PROskydiving by completely rewriting the reservation code and making it available to our PROskydiving network DZs free of charge. DZs now have a customer management solution to help them manage their student operations and push reservations out to their websites. This new version has been very well received by the industry and we are adding new DZs to the network everyday. To learn more about PROskydiving, click here. Also, become a fan of PROskydiving on Facebook.

Doug, Lisa, and Todd spent the week in Deland, FL for the Skydive Expo. It was a great chance for us to showcase PROskydiving and let the industry know what we're all about.
Speaking of PROskydiving, our team is excited about another year of VFS training at CSC. The team has undergone some changes - we're proud to announce that Matty Wright and Sergio Samper have joined Doug, Peter, and Nathan on PROskydiving VFS. We've had several tunnel camps this winter and we're feeling much more confident about our skill level. Vertical formation skydiving is the most difficult thing any of us has ever done in sky and we are having fun learning the new discipline. PROskydiving VFS will be training every Friday at CSC, so you know the aircraft will be flying non-stop. Special thanks to our sponsors:
Did you buy your all-you-can-jump PROpass for 2010? PROpass is for those who seek the most from your experience at CSC. With PROpass, just show up and jump as much as you can. You also get six 1-day "buddy passes" good for 20% off tandem, solo, or experienced jumps (must be a new CSC jumper), 10% off all major gear purchases (canopies, harness/containers, AADs), and a free locker for the 2010 season. All of this for just $3,250 (price increases on April 4). We don't have many restrictions, but PROpass does not cover back-to-back loads. No black out dates, just jump, jump, jump! Congratulations:
Have you seen our marketing truck in Chicago? The truck is now based at the Hard Rock Cafe in the Loop and parked there when we're not driving it around the city. We are working on getting more advertisers on-board. This new contract with the Hard Rock is a great first step for us to get our name out there. If you know anyone looking for a unique way to market their business, please have them contact us.
